Vanderbilt ENT Cancer Screening
|

|
Hello again! My name is Sage Iwamoto, a now fourth-year medical student at Vanderbilt. Following the success of our skin cancer screening earlier this year, I am excited to once again partner with the Nashville Firefighters Union to offer a free ENT cancer screening for local NFD emergency personnel.
Emergency personnel have a significantly elevated risk of oral, mouth, and pharyngeal cancers due to repeated occupational exposure to combustion byproducts, including formaldehyde, benzene, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The good news is that oral cancer, when caught early, is highly treatable. This screening is a quick (less than 10 minutes), free, and easy way to stay ahead of it.
The event will take place on 5/30 from 8AM-12PM at the Firefighter Union Hall at 100 Arlington Ave. We would love to have you join us! If interested, please RSVP below:

If you have any questions please feel free to let me know at sage.iwamoto@vumc.org and I will do my best to get back to you quickly!
